Who we are

Haus of Em Beauty is a private nail studio run by Emily at 34 First Avenue, Clase, Swansea SA6 7LL. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What information we collect

• Booking details. When you book through our SOLO booking page, we receive the details you give there, such as your name, contact details and the appointments you book.
• Messages and calls. If you contact us by phone, Instagram or Facebook, we receive what you send us and your account name or number.
• Health information. If you tell us about allergies, skin conditions or medication that matter for your treatment, we use this to treat you safely.
• Reviews. Some reviews on this website are taken from our Facebook page, where the reviewer chose to post them publicly. We show the reviewer's first name and the first letter of their surname.

This website has no contact forms and no accounts.

How we use it, and why

• To arrange, carry out and follow up your appointments. This is needed to provide the service you have booked (contract).
• To answer your questions and messages, and to run our small business. This is our legitimate interest in running the business and helping customers.
• To keep records we must keep for accounting and tax. This is a legal obligation.
• To use health information you give us, to treat you safely. We only do this with your agreement.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share information with the services we need to run bookings and keep in touch with you:

• SOLO (booksolo.co), the booking service that handles your appointment details.
• Meta (Instagram and Facebook), if you contact us through those apps.

These services have their own privacy policies. We may also share information where the law requires it.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these services, such as Instagram and Facebook, may process information outside the UK. Their privacy policies explain the safeguards they use.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and client records only for as long as we need them to run your appointments and to meet our legal and accounting duties. After that we delete them.

Cookies and this website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it loads its fonts and images from its own server. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

The Book now, Instagram, Facebook and Directions links open other websites. Those sites may set their own cookies and have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your agreement, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
